How Participating in Notting Hill Carnival Works
Be Part of the Parade
Have you ever been part of Notting Hill Carnival before? Come and experience our culture and be part of the euphoric feeling like no other with our carnival band. Until you’ve been part of the parade you’re still a Carnival virgin, don’t be one! We offer a premium all-inclusive experience to all of our masqueraders this includes all beverages, security, facilities, food…they’re all on us!
See Our Costumes
Our costumes are showcased at a carnival band launch hosted by Busspepper. The band launch is an event, which highlights this year’s costume designs worn by live models on a catwalk/stage in a live party environment. It’s like a fashion show AND a party, all balled into one! Here you can get a taste of the Omnia Carnival vibe and see many of the beautiful people who you’ll be partying alongside on carnival Sunday and Monday
Register with Us / Buy Your Costume
Like what you saw at the band launch or on our website? You can do it all online! Find your favourite costume, register your details and make your payment*! Easy as that!
*Various payment options available – pay in full or by deposit, followed by a balance payment, which is usually due by the end of July. We have a general limit of one costume purchase per transaction; this is so we get essential and accurate info for each masquerader.
Collect Your Costume
Costumes can be delivered to you or collected from our distribution point on ‘collection’ dates (usually 1-2 weeks before NHC). Feathered costumes can be both delicate and bulky, making courier costs relatively high; which is why we also offer the collection option. We also like to check through all of your items with you to make sure you’re happy with all of your bits. Not to worry if you need your friend to collect your costume; you can specify this on our ordering system; a valid photo ID is required for collection. No costumes will be handed over without this – sorry! All costumes must be signed for on collection. As Sunday packages are much smaller, we offer a delivery service for these. Playing on both days? Collect them together!
Get in the Mood
Our events running up to Notting Hill Carnival are legendary, Bacchanal Friday and TRIBE IGNITE are two of the hottest events on the NHC Weekend Party Calendar. Here we feature some of the DJs who will be playing for you on the road. Top music, friendly faces and a really great vibe all around!
Meet us on the Road
The Main Event is here! We would have sent you out some very specific and detailed joining instructions (a bit of housekeeping) outlining the do’s and don’ts to ensure your safe and enjoyable road experience. Show up in your costume with your security and hospitality wristbands on the morning and we’ll take care of the rest. All you need to do is let loose and party like never before – it’ll be hard not to! All Carnival bands follow the parade route, which is governed by the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. You can find a map here. We will also be broadcasting our location through a mobile tracking service throughout the day.
Your Safety
The nature of carnival costumes is a bit, well, revealing. The thought of parading on the streets of London can be a bit daunting to most ladies, but worry not, you’re in good hands! Our highly trained SIA accredited security personnel are well experienced in close protection, crowd control and event security. Their #1 objective is to ensure our patrons’ safety and enjoyment. Anyone impeding on these parameters will be ejected from the band and not let back in. Our rope stewards will ensure only bonafide masqueraders are let in the band and regular checks by our extraction team ensure no one who is not part of the band is quickly, politely and effectively, ejected from the band.
Look Back on the Day
We have roaming photographers and camera men in the band all day to capture those unforgettable moments. You can usually view our photos and videos of the day as soon as one week after Carnival. These are available here on our website at the Gallery and Video sections, as well as on our Facebook and Instagram accounts.
